By February 2006, Dieter’s prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level had risen to 6.0 ng/mL
- — Chest and abdominal CT and bone scans showed no abnormalities
- — Dieter began treatment with monthly intramuscular leuprolide
Dieter’s treatment kept PSA levels undetectable until 2 months ago, when he had a PSA level of 7.1 ng/mL
Bone scan revealed an L4 lesion, confirmed as osteoblastic by lumbar spine MRI
Dieter’s urologist referred him to an oncologist for further treatment
