National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and European Association of Urology (EAU) guidelines state17,18
  • Bisphosphonates may be administered to prevent skeletal complications in patients with hormone-refractory prostate cancer and bone metastases
  • EAU guidelines also state that bisphosphonates may be administered to palliate pain in this patient population
