Diagnosis and treatment of bone metastases

Marta presented 6 months ago with a 1-month history of pain in the left thigh
Bone scan confirmed metastases in the left femur and left ischium
No evidence of metastasis to other organs
Immediately after her diagnosis, Marta began treatment with
- — Chemotherapy: docetaxel every 3 weeks + capecitabine BID
- — Aromatase inhibitor therapy: daily letrozole
- — ZOMETA® every 3 weeks
Marta is currently symptom free
