Key treatment guidelines recommend ZOMETA in patients with advanced prostate cancer and bone metastases9,10
A 2007 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) panel of experts recommended ZOMETA treatment for patients with hormone-refractory prostate cancer to prevent skeletal morbidity9
Treatment should continue for up to 2 years even if a patient experiences a bone event
Therapy may continue beyond 2 years based on an individual risk assessment
The European Association of Urology (EAU) 2011 guidelines support treatment with bone-targeted agents, including ZOMETA, for patients with advanced prostate cancer10
